RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE SALE OF LAND IN THE INDUSTRIAL PARK TO SOUTHERN TOOL AND DIE

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, has received offer from Southern Tool and Die to purchase property located in the Industrial Park and more particularly described as follows:
A part of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, being more particularly described as follows; Begin at the Southwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter Southwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 14 North, Range 4 East; thence North 88° 46'52" E 20.0' to the point of beginning proper; thence North 208.71'; thence N 88° 46'52" E 417.42'; thence South 208.71'; thence S 88° 46'52" W 417.42' to the point of beginning proper, containing 2 acres, more or less, all as shown on plat of survey.
For the sum of Twelve Thousand Dollars ($12,000) in cash; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City that said offer be accepted and said property sold to Southern Tool and Die Inc.
NOW, THREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to sell the above described real property to Southern Tool and Die, Inc. for the sum of Twelve Thousand Dollars ($12,000) in cash and to execute any and all documents necessary to transfer said property to the purchaser.
