RESOLUTION TO ADOPT A PURCHASING MANUAL AS PREPARED BY THE PURCHASING AGENT

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas wishes to adopt a purchasing manual to be used by the purchasing agent for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, the purchasing agent for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas has prepared a proposed purchasing manual which the purchasing agent has submitted to the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas has reviewed the proposed purchasing manual and desires to institute the purchasing manual, in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of purchasing procedures within the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas;
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas does hereby adopt the purchasing manual prepared by the purchasing agent and incorporates the purchasing manual, by reference in this Resolution as if same were set out word for word herein; and, that said requirements as set out in the purchasing manual shall be effective form and after the date of passage of this Resolution.
