A RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE ABANDONMENT OF DRAINAGE EASEMENT LOCATED ON PART OF LOTS 8 AND 11, HILL PARK ADDITION, PHASE 1 AS REQUESTED BY CRAFTON TULL ON BEHALF OF ANDREA PANNECK

WHEREAS, the property owners have filed a Petition with the City Clerk of Jonesboro, Arkansas requesting that the City abandon a drainage easement in;
PART OF LOTS 8 AND 11, HILL PARK ADDITION, PHASE 1, IN THE CITY OF JONESBORO, CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, ARKANSAS. Being more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at the southwest corner of said Lot 8; Thence N00°38'00”E, a distance of 8.00 feet; Thence N89°30'39”E, 10.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; Thence N89°30'39”E, 119.03 feet; Thence S00°38'00”W, 16.00 feet; Thence S89°30'39”W, 119.03 feet; Thence N00°38'00”E, 16.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; said Tract containing 0.044 acres, more or less.
WHEREAS, the Petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code requires public notice before the above drainage easement can be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice advising the public of the request by the adjoining property owners to vacate and abandon the drainage easement mentioned above and this matter will be heard before the City Council on March 1, 2022 at 5:20 p.m, at City Hall, located at 300 S. Church St., Jonesboro, Arkansas.
