RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE CITY OF JONESBORO EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK, SPECIFICALLY AMENDING THE SICK LEAVE POLICY (NOTE: THIS RESOLUTION WAS AMENDED BY RES-07:38 ON MAY 1, 2007)

WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro adopted a change in the employee sick leave policy in Resolution No. 2005:31; and

WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro needs to further amend the Employee Handbook Policy on sick leave accrual for firefighters to comply with amendments to Arkansas Code 14-53-108;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

1.  The existing sick leave provisions of the City of Jonesboro Employee Handbook are hereby amended pursuant to the document attached hereto, identified as Attachment A.  Said attachment is incorporated herein by reference.

2.  Any prior resolution of the City of Jonesboro or provisions of the Employee Handbook in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict.
