AN ORDINANCE AMEND THE 2009 BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE MONEY TO COVER COST FOR COMPUTER PURCHASES THAT WERE ORDERED IN 2008, BUT NOT PAID UNTIL 2009

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, will appropriate undesignated General Fund balance to cover cost of replacing 3 of the 5 ten year old servers.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, will appropriate undesignated General Fund balance to cover cost of fixed assets, computer supplies, minor equipment and maintenance contracts that were budget for in 2009 but have not been purchased due to the 2008 cost booked in January 2009.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, THAT:

SECTION 1:  the City of Jonesboro will amend the 2009 budget to cover cost of fixed assets, computer supplies, minor equipment and maintenance contracts.

SECTION 2:  the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas hereby appropriates $105,361.97 to be paid from undesignated General Fund Balance to cover 2009 the following cost:

01-110-0224-00                       Supplies                     $657.46

01-110-0224-01                       Office Supplies                     $1,665.55

01-110-0232-00                       Fixed Assets                     $60,906.00

01-110-0232-01                       Minor Furniture & Equipment                     $27,132.96

01-110-0318-00                     Maintenance Contracts                     $15,000.00

                     TOTAL                     $105,361.97

SECTION 3:  This ordinance, being necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Jonesboro, an emergency is declared to exist.  This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
