A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING BID FOR CAD/AVL SYSTEM

Whereas, the City of Jonesboro operates an E911 Communications Center located at 411 East Monroe, Jonesboro, Ar 72401
Whereas, the City of Jonesboro is proposing to upgrade its Communications Center by implementing a CAD/AVL (Computer Aided Dispatch/Automatic Vehicle Locater) system.
Whereas, the City of Jonesboro solicited request for proposals and the bidder for the project is Relativity Inc. with a low bid of $500,000.00
Whereas, monies have been allocated per City ordinance 3465 regarding the transfer of monies from general ledger 604 to the 2004 annual budget for the E911 Communications Center. Said monies will be used for the purchase of the Cad/Avl system plus taxes.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the low bid of $500,000.00 from Relativity Inc. for the purchase, implementation, and training for the CAD/AVL system.
SECTION 2: The Mayor, Hubert Brodell and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
SECTION 3: The City Council finds that an emergency exists and this resolution being necessary for the preservation of the Public health, welfare, and safety, it shall take effect from and after passage and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 21ST DAY OF JUNE, 2004.
