AN ORDINACANE TO WAIVE BIDDING REQUIREMENTS FOR PURCHASE OF AN AIR COMPRESSOR - (MEDICAL - AIR)

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: The City Council finds and declares that there is a need to purchase an air compressor for use by the Fire Department immediately.
SECTION 2: Said air compressor may be purchased from purchased from Process & Power, Memphis, Tennessee for the sum of $9,753.00. The City Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to purchase the above items.
SECTION 3: The City Council finds and declares that the immediate purchase of the above described item is necessary for the health and welfare of the citizens of Jonesboro, Therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and the City Council hereby waives the usual bidding requirements and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
