A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING CONTRACTS FOR INTER LOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING POLICE DISPATCH SERVICE TO POLICE DEPARTMENTS LOCATED IN CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, ARKANSAS.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro operates the only Public Safety Point and Central Dispatch Center for emergency dispatching in Craighead County; And
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro will now charge .75 per CAD (computer aided dispatch) for police departments outside of Jonesboro city limits that are in Craighead County; And
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to enter into an agreement for police dispatch service covered under the inter-local cooperation agreement; And
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas shall contract with the City of Monette for .75 cents per CAD (computer aided dispatch). A copy of said contract is attached as Exhibit A.
SECTION 2: The Mayor, Harold Perrin and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
