RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, TO FILE A GRANT ON ADMINISTRATION ON AGING, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, EDUCATION AND WELFARE

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, is eligible to apply for federal assistance concerning administration of Aging, Department of Health, Education and Welfare for the acquisition of equipment; and

WHEREAS, the City desires to complete an application and apply for this federal assistance and put up the local share as a part of the Community Development Block Grant program;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Council hereby authorizes the mayor to apply for federal assistance for the acquisition of equipment for the Senior Citizens Center of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
