A Public Hearing was held at 7:15 p.m. regarding the abandonment of an alley running north from Johnson Avenue mid-way of Block 15 of Matthews Addition for a distance of 300 Ft. and intercepting with an alley running east and west between Drake and Fisher by Fisher Street Church of Christ.

City Council Minutes - November 7, 1988

The Jonesboro City Council met in regular session at 7:30 p.m. Present were Mayor, City Clerk, City Attorney and all Aldermen.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chris Hill, Boy Scout Troop II of First Baptist Church, and the invocation was led by Jeff Gibson, Public Works Director.

The minutes of October 17, 1988, were approved as mailed on motion by Mr. Stricklin, seconded by Mr. Park. All voted aye.

The Clerk read the minutes of a called meeting on November 4, 1988. Mr. Stricklin moved, seconded by Mr. Sanderson that the minutes be approved as read. All voted aye.

The following bid was up for review:
88:30 - Pest Control
Mr. Hannah moved, seconded by Mr. Shelton to approve the low bid meeting specifications from Ace Termite. All vote aye.

88:31 - Police Cleaning
Mr. Hannah moved, seconded by Mr. Park to approve the low bid meeting specifications from Massanelli. All voted aye.

88:32 - Welding Supplies
Mr. Park moved, seconded by Mr. Hannah to approve the low bid meeting specifications from Standard Welders Supply. All voted aye.

88:33 - Street and Sanitation Shirts
Mr. Hannah moved, seconded by Mr. Hinson to approve the low bid meeting specifications from Todd Work Apparel. All voted aye.

The following ordinance was on third reading: (Rez/C-3 to R-1, N. of Highland, W. of Bernard, J. White)

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND #954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES
