AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 22-4 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Section 1: That Section 22-4 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Jonesboro is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 22-4: Same - Requirements for locating mobile homes outside of mobile home park.

(a) A permit shall be ordained by the mobile home occupant (owner) for any location outside of a mobile home park from the building inspector. The permit shall be granted only upon the written consent of the owner, legal agent of owner, or the lessee, of the location for which the permit is issued. The applicant must present the written consent of 65% of the neighbors or occupants within 600 feet of the mobile home site. In addition, the owner must submit written notice that the mobile home has been assessed.
The permit shall be at the same fee as regular building permits under Section 5-11 of the Code of Ordinances ($3.00 per thousand up to $15,000 and $2.00 per thousand for the next $85,000). There shall be a flat fee of $10.00 for a permit to remove a mobile home from one lot to another. There shall be a flat fee for $3.00 for a permit to remove a mobile home to a new location on the same lot. The location of the mobile home on lot shall be governed under all zoning regulations (Chapter #24, Code of Ordinances).

(b) Application for permit shall:
1. State name and address of occupants;
2. The exact location of the premises, street and number (lot number, block & subdivision);
3. If mobile home is to be located on lot with regular dwelling, then it shall not be rented (members of family only);
4. Mobile homes shall be connected to sewer, water, gas and lights in a manner to meet all city codes;
5. Mobile home occupants must subscribe to garbage disposal service. This is true either on lot with dwelling or alone.
