RESOLUTION TO SEEK GRANT FUND FROM THE OZARKS REGIONAL COMMISSION TO COMPLETE NECESSARY DRAINAGE WORK

WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, carries out programs to enhance the social, cultural, economic and environmental well-being of the citizens of the City, and
WHEREAS, the City provides planning and development activities to enhance the well-being of its citizens, and
WHEREAS, the City is seeking grant funds from the Ozarks Regional Commission in order to complete drainage work necessary to attain the aforementioned goals, and
WHEREAS, local funding for drainage projects is limited;
IT THERFORE RESOLVED that the City will attempt to complete any drainage project made possible by a grant from the Ozarks Regional Commission in a timely manner to the satisfaction of the Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the City will promptly pay all amounts due, and that the City will either complete construction within the amount of the approved construction line, plus such change orders as are approved by the Commission, or that the City will provide any additional funds needed to successfully complete the project in a timely manner.
