AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A PART OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 20, TOWNSHIP 14 NORTH, RANGE 4 EAST TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
It having been determined by the County Court of Craighead County, Arkansas, after due notice, and according to the provisions of law, to enter an order of annexation on September 15, 1959, making lands described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at the center of Section 20, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, thence East on the Half Section Line 426 feet to the beginning proper; thence North 1320 feet; thence East 360 feet, thence South 1320 feet to the Half Section Line; thence West along the Half Section Line 360 feet to the point of beginning, this tract being a part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 20, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, and subject to rights of way for public Road and utilities, a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and it being found that said territory should be accepted into and made a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDAINED, that the above described lands are hereby accepted and made a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas and annexed thereto, and the persons residing therein shall have and enjoy all the rights and privileges of the inhabitants within the original limits of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas and said territory is hereby assigned to Ward 4.
