RESOLUTION TO ENCOURAGE CITIZENS TO PROMOTE THE CONTINUATION OF SCHEDULED AIRLINE SERVICES FOR THE CITY

WHEREAS, the outstanding progress and growth of this City within the past few years shows no sign of weakening in the foreseeable future; and
WHEREAS, an important yet sometimes overlooked factor in this progress is the establishment and continuation of regularly schedule airline services as are now provided by Trans Texas Airways; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that, although much has already been accomplished, even more can be done by the citizens of our community to evidence our support for this air service;
NOW THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, that each and every citizen is hereby encouraged to promote the continuation of scheduled airline services for this City, through personal use of these services, through advertising its availability in our neighboring communities, and in such other ways as the opportunity may arise to do so, and in this way help to insure the well-rounded progress of this Northeast Arkansas area and the City of Jonesboro in particular.
