RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE ABANDONMENT OF DUDLEY STREET

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF JONESBORO:
 
That the 15th day of April, 1974, is hereby given as the day of the hearing upon the petition of the abutting property owners for the abandonment of the following streets to-wit:
 
Dudley Street from the north edge of Oliver Street south for a distance of 310 feet which is to the south edge of the street known as South Street, said street being a 30 foot wide street; that South Street said street extending from what is or formerly was Dudley Avenue on the west to Kathleen Street or Pankey Road on the east a distance of 1282.6 feet and also that Oliver Street from the west boundary of Dudley Avenue be abandoned a distance of 265 feet east to intersection with James Street on the east.
 
Platted and filed for record in the Recorder's Office in Surveyors Record 123 on page 47.
 
The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of the time and place of hearing by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Craighead County. The notice shall state the names of the persons who signed the petition, the name of the streets or parts thereof to be vacated and shall identify same by the abutting lot and block numbers and the notice shall advise all persons that on the 15th day of April, 1974, the Council will hear and determine whether the above described streets shall be vacated.
