RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ESTABLISH THE JONESBORO LOCAL REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AND TO APPOINT MEMBERS
Body
WHEREAS, the U S Department of Defense has notified the City of Jonesboro that they are closing the United States Army Reserve Center at 1001 S. Caraway Road and are giving the city the option of creating a comprehensive redevelopment plan for the property, AND
WHEREAS, in accordance with the guidelines specified by the Department of Defense, the Mayor is proposing a committee to be known as the Jonesboro Local Redevelopment Authority, to create this plan.
WHEREAS, Mayor Perrin has recommended the following appointments to the Jonesboro Local Redevelopment Authority:
John Street, Margaret Holloway, Mark Hackney, Barry Phillips, and Dr. Charles Coleman
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that John Street, Margaret Holloway, Mark Hackney, Barry Phillips, and Dr. Charles Coleman be appointed to the Jonesboro Local Redevelopment Authority with terms to expire upon completion of the task.
