RESOLUTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON PORTION OF LEROY STREET BEGINNING AT JAMES STREET AND RUNNING WEST TO DUDLEY AVENUE AND DUDLEY STREET BEGINNING AT OLIVER STREET AND RUNNING NORTH TO THE NORTH LINE OF LOTS 5-8 OF BLOCK B DUDLEY SUBDIVISON

BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas
 
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed by Nettleton-Phillips Consolidated School and Harley Kiech requesting that a portion of certain streets in Dudley Subdivision of a part of Blocks B, C, D, E, F and G of Dudley's first addition to the town of Nettleton, Arkansas, (now Jonesboro, Arkansas) be abandoned and vacated as follows:
 
1.  That portion of Leroy Street beginning at James Street and running west to Dudley Avenue.
 
2.  That portion of Dudley Street beginning at Oliver Street and running north to a point parallel to the north line of Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8 of Block B of said subdivision:
 
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro give notice by the publication once a week for two weeks in some newspaper published in Craighead County apprising property owners affected that on the 23rd day of August, 1965, the Council will hear the petition and determine whether such property shall be abandoned as a street and whether all abutting property owners and other person directly interested have consented to such abandonment.
