BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council, of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Section 1: That Ordinance No. 954, known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, be amended as found by the City Council on September 12, 1977, from and after the hearing of an appeal taken from the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission decision of August 10, 1977, said appeal having been timely filed and perfected and heard in the manner required by the Jonesboro Code of Ordinances at Section 2-3.2; that the said appeal was heard, and it was determined by the City Council, City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, by a majority vote to change the zoning boundaries as follows: From Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3) of the following described property: (Jerry Craft)

Begin at the Southeast Corner of the Northeast Quarter of Section 29, Township 14 North, Range 4 East; thence North on the Section line 132 feet to the point of beginning proper: thence West 659/2 feet; thence North 1137.2' feet to the South right-of-way line of Arkansas Highway #18; thence East on aforesaid right-of-way line 660 feet; thence South on the Quarter Section line 1131.0 feet to the point of beginning proper. This property is rezoned subject to dedication of right-of-way as shown on recorded plat.

Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the community, shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
