CITY COUNCIL MINUTES, JULY 6, 1995

The Jonesboro City Council met Thursday July 6, 1995, at 7:30 p.m. A full quorum was in attendance. Present were Mayor Brodell, City Clerk, Donna K. Jackson, City Attorney, Phillip Crego, and Eight Councilmen. Those Councilmen were: Wise, Evans, Young, Perrin, Tate, Kelton, Roddy, and Hannah. Councilmen Vance, Rega, Province, and Harpole were unable to attend due to prior obligations.

The minutes of June 19, 1995, were approved as mailed on motion by Councilman Young seconded by Councilman Perrin. A roll call vote was taken resulting in all council members voting aye. Those Councilmen voting aye were: Wise, Evans, Young, Perrin, Tate, Kelton, Roddy, and Hannah.

The following ordinance was on third reading:

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES (MAC FLEMING)

Councilman Hannah moved, seconded by Councilman Kelton for the adoption of the ordinance. A roll call vote was taken resulting in all council members voting aye. Those Aldermen voting aye were: Wise, Evans, Young, Perrin, Tate, Kelton, Roddy, and Hannah. The ordinance was given the number 2630.

Item 6 - Resolution entering into a one year lease with Teens For Christ (T.F.C.) was pulled for further clarification of ownership, by City Attorney, Phillip Crego.

The following ordinance was on third reading:

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES (ARNOLD/LYONS)

Councilman Hannah moved, seconded by Councilman Evans for the adoption of the ordinance. A roll call vote was taken resulting in all council members voting aye. Those Aldermen voting aye were: Wise, Evans, Young, Perrin, Tate, Kelton, Roddy, and Hannah.
The ordinance was given the number 2631.
