RESOLUTION TO CONVEY RIGHTS OF WAY FROM THE ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY & TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT TO DOYLE YARBROUGH

WHEREAS, the Arkansas State Highway & Transportation Department is in the process of obtaining right of way for the expansion of Highway No. 49 in the Valley View Community; and
WHEREAS, the said Arkansas State Highway & Transportation has acquired certain right of way from Doyle Yarbrough for the expansion of Highway 49 in the Valley View Community; and
WHEREAS, when Arkansas State Highway & Transportation completes its expansion in the Valley View Community, there will be portions of the existing highway right of way which will be abandoned by the Arkansas State Highway & Transportation to the City of Jonesboro; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro will have no use for said portions of the existing highway right of way and should abandon and convey same to the adjacent landowner, Doyle Yarbrough.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to ascertain the proper legal descriptions of the portions of the existing right of way which will be abandoned by Arkansas State Highway & Transportation to the City of Jonesboro and further to execute any and all documents necessary to convey the same to Doyle Yarbrough, the adjacent landowner.
