RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A PRE-APPLICATION FOR DISCRETIONARY FUNDS, JONESBORO, ARKANSAS-1976-1977

WHEREAS, the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas does hereby desire to make application for Discretionary Funds under the Community Development Discretionary fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized that Jonesboro Urban Renewal and Housing Authority to prepare and application for obtaining said Community Development Discretionary Funds; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas has hereby designated the Mayor of Jonesboro to be the authorized representative of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas does hereby designate the Mayor as the proper authority to make application for and sign all necessary papers needed to obtain Discretionary Funds;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
(1) That the City Council does hereby desire to make application for Discretionary Funds under the Community Development Discretionary Fund.
(2) The City Council does hereby authorize the Jonesboro Urban Renewal and Housing Authority to make all necessary applications for said funds; and to administer said program if approved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
(3) The City Council does hereby appoint and designate the Mayor as the authorized representative of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
(4) The City Council does hereby give the Mayor the authority to make all necessary applications for Community Development Discretionary Funds and to sign all necessary applications and forms dealing with said funds.
(5) This authorization shall be effective this 1st day of December, 1975.
