RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF A UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF LOT 4, BLOCK B OF ROSSLAND HILLS SUBDIVISION AS REQUESTED BY JOHN MCCARTHY

WHEREAS, Mr. John McCarthy has filed a petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that the City abandon and vacate a portion of a utility easement.

Being located on the north side of Lot 4, Block “B”, Phase 1 of Rossland Hills Subdivision; and

WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and

WHEREAS, Arkansas law requires notice of such public hearing;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City Clerk is directed to directed to publish a notice advising the public of such request to vacate and abandon the above mentioned easement and that this matter will be heard before the City Council on October 4^th, 2005, at, 6:20 o’clock, p.m. at the Huntington Building, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
