ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN ALLEY RUNNING NORTH OF MAIN STREET OF NETTLETON STATION

WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, on the 7th day of November, 1966, praying the City Council to vacate and abandon the alley described as:
An alley running North from Main Street of Nettleton Station, Jonesboro, Arkansas, a distance of approximately 100 feet bounded on the East by Lots 4, 3, 2, 1 and on the West by Lot 5, all of Howard’s Addition to the City of Jonesboro, (formerly the Town of Nettleton) Arkansas; then turning West a distance of approximately 352 feet and bounded on the South by Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,11 and 12, and on the North by Frisco Street, and ending at Watt Street, all in Howard’s Addition to the City of Jonesboro, (formerly the Town of Nettleton) Arkansas, platted and filed for record in Deed Record 10, at page 390 of the Record of the Jonesboro District of Craighead County, Arkansas, and
WHEREAS. after due notice as required by law, the City Council has, at the time and place mentioned in the Notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the alley hereinbefore described, has heretofore been dedicated to the public use as an alley; has never actually been developed or used by the public in its entirety as an alley for several years; that all the owners of property abutting upon the alley to be vacated filed with the City Council their written consent to such abandonment; and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such alley.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates, and abandons all its rights together with the rights of the public generally in and to the alley designated as follows:
