RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN ALLEY LOCATED IN COLE’S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, a petition has been duly filed by Stanley Cox, et al, being the sole and only owner of Lot 3 of Park Addition and Lot 6, Block 2 of Cole’s Second Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, praying that an alley herein below described be abandoned and vacated as follows:

An alley being 20 feet wide and approximately 164 feet long running East and West and bound on the North by Lot 6, Block 2 of Cole’s Addition and on the South by Lot 3 of Park Addition, thence turning and running North 10 feet wide for a distance of 58 feet.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas., that the City Clerk of said city give notice of publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Craighead County, Arkansas, advising the public and property owners affected that on the 16^th day of September, 1957, the City Council will hear the petition and determine whether such alley shall be abandoned and vacated, and whether all abutting property owners and other interested persons have consented to such abandonment.
