RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE FUNDS TO OBTAIN A GRANT FOR MAKING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS TO THE MAIN BUILDING OF THE JONESBORO-CRAIGHEAD COUNTY LIBRARY

WHEREAS, it is recognized that there exists a dire need for expansion of the facilities of the Jonesboro-Craighead County Library and;

WHEREAS, it is recognized that such expansion must be made in order to serve the existing needs of the patrons of the Jonesboro- Craighead County Library and;

WHEREAS, it is recognized that the need for additional space to be utilized for the benefit of the users of the library shall become even more acute in the immediate future and that such needs must be met inasmuch as the library provides invaluable service to the citizens of Jonesboro and Craighead County, it is hereby resolved as follows:

RESOLVED, that the City Council of Jonesboro shall provide $40,000 from Capital Improvement Funds to be used as matching funds to obtain a grant for the sole purpose of making capital improvements to the main library building of the Jonesboro-Craighead County Library.

This Resolution proposed this 20^th day of October, 1986.
