BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:    
 
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:
 
From R-1 to C-3 the following described property:
 
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
       
The following described lands in Craighead County, Arkansas to wit:  That part of Lots 6, 7 and 8 of Block C and that part of Block D, all in F.W. Caldwell's Subdivision of part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 10, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of the said Block D, run thence North 58°43' East 31.7 feet to the true point of beginning, run thence North 77°09' East 31.6 feet, run thence North 58°43' East, 150.0 feet, run thence North 50°4' East 70.5 feet, run thence North 58°43' East 109.0 feet, run thence North 5°50' East 140.4 feet run thence North 85°36' West 250.5 feet, run thence South 26°17' East 128.1 feet, run thence South 58°43' West 235.0 feet, run thence South 20°13' East 75.0 feet, run thence South 51°09' East 60.5 feet to the true point of beginning, containing 1.57 acres.    
              
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
