AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCES NO. 2731 AND NO. 2783 (ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THE SAGE MEADOWS AREA)

WHEREAS, Craighead County Court Orders No. 96-3 and 97-3 authorized annexation of certain properties in the Sage Meadows area into the City of Jonesboro; and

WHEREAS, the City Council, through passage of Ordinances No. 2731 and 2783, accepted said properties, as described in said Court Orders, into the corporate limits; and

WHEREAS, the County Court has subsequently issued Orders amending said descriptions, thus necessitating the amendment of descriptions contained in said City Ordinances.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:     

SECTION 1:  That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2731 and Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2783 be, and the same are hereby amended to exclude the thirty (30) feet south of and parallel to the centerline of Macedonia Road.

SECTION 2:  That a certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the Craighead County Clerk.
