RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON A PART OF GOLD COAST DRIVE

WHEREAS, the property owners have filed a petition with the City Clerk of the City Jonesboro, Arkansas requesting that
PART OF OUTBACK SECOND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
BEGIN AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 6 OF BLOCK A OF OUTBACK SECOND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS; THENCE NORTH 86°46'48" EAST 155.02 FEET; THENCE NORTHEASTERLY ALONG A 286.500° CURVE TO THE LEFT WITH A RADIUS OF 20.00 FEET A DISTANCE OF 29.81 FEET; THENCE SOUTHEASTERLY ALONG A 24.913° CURVE TO THE LEFT WITH A RADIUS OF 230.00 FEET A DISTANCE OF 93.34 FEET; THENCE NORTHWESTERLY ALONG A 286.500° CURVE TO THE LEFT WITH A RADIUS OF 20.00 FEET A DISTANCE OF 24.90 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 86°46'48" WEST 170.69 FEET; THENCE NORTH 0°02'46" WEST 60.10 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING CONTAINING 0.249 ACRES.
Be vacated and abandoned; and
WHEREAS, the Petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated 14-301-110 requires two weeks public notice before the above street can be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks advising the public of the request by the property owners to vacate and abandon the unimproved portion of said street mentioned above and this matter will be heard before the City Council on November 15, 1999 at 6:25 p.m. o'clock in Council Chambers located at 900 W. Monroe, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
