AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON A PORTION OF MICHAEL LANE, A PORTION OF BYRNE WOOD DRIVE AND A PORTION OF TOWER BROOK PLACE

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:
SECTION 1: The City Council finds that a portion of Michael Lane, a portion of Byrne Wood Drive and a portion of Tower brook Place are unimproved and undeveloped and should be abandoned to allow the portions of the streets to be replatted to conform to the street alignment in the subdivision.
SECTION 2: The City Council, pursuant to Arkansas Statutes Annotated, abandons and vacated said portions of streets described as follows, to-wit:
A part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 26, Township 14 North, Range 3 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the center of an existing street; thence North 88º54' East 30 feet along the North line of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 26, Township 14 North, Range 3 East to the Southwest corner lot 4, block A of A replat of block A, Robinwood Subdivision (recorded in plat cabinet A, page 177) and the East right-of-way line of a 60 foot wide street; thence Southeasterly along a curve to the left with a radius of 146.60 feet, a distance of 167.58 feet; thence Southwesterly along the West line of High Meadow Subdivision 67.2 feet; thence South 64º 24' West 351.12 feet; thence North 25º36' West 101.5 feet; thence along a curve to the left with a radius of 86.60 feet, a distance of 99 feet; thence South 88º54' West 120 feet; thence North 01º06' West 200 feet; thence North 88º54' East 30 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 1.08 acres, more of less.
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas does vacate and abandon a portion of Michael Lane, a portion ob Byrne Wood Drive and a portion Tower Brook Place as described above and further, the City Council finds that an emergency exists an...
