RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY TO RECEIVE GRANT FUNDS FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO SEWER EXTENSION PROJECT

Whereas, the City of Jonesboro and co-applicant CWL have been awarded a grant from the Economic Development Authority for $135,000, and
Whereas, the match funds have been committed by the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, and
Whereas, the City of Jonesboro will partner with CWL to extend the industrial park sewer lines for the purpose of business expansion and job creation, and
Whereas, the Grants and Community Development Department will be responsible for implementing said project and will maintain all expenditures and reporting.
Now Therefore, be it resolved by City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:
Section 1: the City of Jonesboro is authorized to enter into agreement with the Economic Development Authority; and
Section 2: the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute all documents pertaining to said agreement.
