AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A PART OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 20, TOWNSHIP 14 NORTH, RANGE 4 EAST TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
It having been determined by the County Court of Craighead County, Arkansas, after due notice, and according to the provisions of law, to enter an order of annexation on May 28, 1956 making lands described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at the center of Section 20, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, thence east 16 ft. to the point of beginning proper: thence north 1318.4 feet, thence east 410 ft.; thence south 1319 ft. to the half section line, thence west on half section line 410 ft. to the pint of beginning proper, this tract being a part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 20, Township 14 north, Range 2 east, a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and it being found that said territory should be accepted into and made a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas;
IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDAINED, that the above described lands are hereby accepted and made a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas and annexed thereto, and the persons residing therein shall have and enjoy all the rights and privileges of the inhabitants within the original limits of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas and said territory is hereby assigned to Ward Five (5).
