AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.2007, THE 1987 BUDGET ORDINANCE

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would be in the best interest of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, to amend the 1987 Budget.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Section 1: The 1987 Budget is amended as follows: $5,000.00 of inappropriate General Funds is to be appropriated to the Police Department line item Professional Services for attorney fees incurred in the case of Rohnny McDaniel vs. Edward Cunningham, et al.

Section 2: That an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
