A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING BIDS FOR CONCRETE AT ALLEN PARK

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro owns and maintains Allen Park located at 3705 Race Street, Jonesboro, AR.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is constructing curbs, gutters, an ADA parking pad and sidewalks at Allen Park.
WHEREAS, the low bidder for the project is Meadows Construction with a bid of $85,975.00.
WHEREAS, Thirty thousand and six hundred dollars ($30,600) for the project will come from line item GL 714-00 designated in the 2004 budget; of which $24,480 (80%) will be allocated from the Arkansas State Highway Trail Grant Funds and the City's portion of the matching grant is $6,120.00 (20%). The remaining portion of the contract of $55,375 will be paid from the $60,000 that has been approved and designated under the capital improvement line item # 161 in the 2004 budget.
WHEREAS, the Arkansas State Highway Trail Grant is an 80/20 matching grant.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the low bid of $85,975.00.00 from Meadows Construction for sidewalks, curb and gutter and a parking pad at Allen Park.
SECTION 2: That the Mayor, Hubert Brodell and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
