AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN UNIMPROVED PORTION OF SOUTHWICK DRIVE

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the streets designated as follows with the exceptions listed in SECTION 2:
That part of Southwick Drive in Southview Acres Subdivision, City of Jonesboro, Craighead County Arkansas, described as follows - beginning at SW Corner of Lot 32, thence Westerly 60' to the SE Corner of Lot 30, thence Northerly 238.5' to the NE Corner of Lot 30; thence Easterly 60' to the NW Corner of Lot 32; thence Southerly 239.83' along the Westerly Line of Lot 32 to the point of beginning proper.
SECTION 2: A copy of the Ordinance certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas and shall be filed in the deed records of such office.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas finds and declares that the above streets and portions of streets are not necessary for the general benefit and welfare of the public: That the owners of all the property abutting the above streets are in favor of the closure and vacation of the above street and that therefore an emergency is declared to exist and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
