AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.954 PROVIDING FOR CHANGE IN ZONING DISTRICT BOUNDARIES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
That Ordinance No.954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro is amended as follows as recommended by the City Planning Commission:
Section 1: the zoning district boundaries are hereby changed:
(1) From residential to commercial (C-2) an area described as Lot 11 of Cobb and Lee’s Survey of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 19, Township 14 North Range 4 East.
(2) From residential (R-2) to commercial (C-3) an area described as beginning on the north line of Highway 18 at the Southwest corner of the present properties zoned C-3; thence West along the north line of Highway 18 aforesaid 301.2 feet; thence north along the east line of Viking Addition 205.3 feet; thence northeasterly along the southeasterly line of Viking Addition 785.2 feet to the southwest line of present zone C-3; thence southeasterly 385 feet along said line of zone C-3 to Cain Street; thence southwesterly long Cain Street in the present line of zone C-3 a distance of 185.3 feet; thence south along Cain Street 50.6 feet; thence west along present line of zone C-3 a distance of 399.2 feet; thence south along the present line of zone C-3 290 feet to the point of beginning.
(3) From residential (R-2) to commercial (C-3) a part of Lot 20 of Cobb and Lee’s Survey of the northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 27, Township 14 North Range 4 East, more particularly described as follows: Commence at the northwest corner of Section 27, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, thence East 44.6 feet to the south right of way line of Highway 18; thence east 426.6 feet along said right-of-way line to point of beginning; thence east 463.9 feet; thence south 0° 25’ east 858.8 feet; thence west 418.9 feet; thence north 3° 25’ west 860 feet to the point of beginning of Section 27, Township 14 North,...
