A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE EAST ARKANSAS PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT FOR THE 2017 GENERAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDS (GIF) FOR THE OPTICOM PROJECT

WHEREAS, the City Council approved RES-17:031 on April 4, 2017 to apply for General Improvement Funds for Opticom system to be placed at Johnson/Hwy 351, Highland/Harrisburg, Parker Rd/Hwy 1 and Highland & Main/Southwest Drive.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro was awarded the FY2017 GIF Grant in the amount of $30,201 in state funding for the aforementioned items in the initial grant application, and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro will accept all accounting and reporting responsibilities for said grant during the grant period of one year.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro will enter into agreement with the East Arkansas Planning and Development District in the amount of $30,201.
SECTION 2: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
