AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING PART OF FRISCO STREET AS A ONE WAY STREET; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: From and after passage and adoption of this Ordinance Frisco Street from Clark Street West to the tri-section of Highway 18, Highway 63 and Frisco Street shall be designated as a One Way street with West bound traffic.
Section 2: The Chief of Police or some other person designated by him is hereby directed to place and locate upon the above described street at the proper places, appropriate signs reading “ONE WAY STREET” and it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to tear down, mutilate or remove such signs.
Section 3: All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4: It is found and declared by the City Council that due to congestion of traffic on the above named street, there is created and caused a traffic problem and hazard resulting in injuries to persons and property and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and adoption.
