AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 954, ACCEPTING CERTAIN LANDS ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, BY ORDER OF THE COUNTY COURT DATED JULY ____, 1975, NUNC PRO TUNC NOVEMBER 21, 1973, ASSIGNING ANNEXED TERRITORY TO WARD 4, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

WHEREAS, the Order of Confirmation of Annexation of the Jonesboro County Court, annexing Briarwood Fourth Addition to the City of Jonesboro, erroneously excluded the description of lands owned by the Jonesboro Christian Church, which lands are completely surrounded by territory annexed to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, That, Ordinance No. 1388 accepting the annexation of Briarwood Fourth also erroneous excludes the description of said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that Section 2 of said Ordinance is amended to read as follows:
Section 1: The lands and territory hereby annexed and accepted by the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, are more particularly described as follows to-wit:
Part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (2.18 acres), part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter (18.86 acres), and part of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter (10.52 acres) all being in Section Twenty-three (23), Township Fourteen (14) North, Range Three (3) East, Craighead County, Arkansas, and being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter, Section 23, aforesaid; thence South 89°30’ West along the North line of said Southeast Quarter 1430.8 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence South 0°20’ East 253.4 feet; thence along the arc of a 22.888 decree curve to the right 67.7 feet; thence South 15°10’25” West 100.0 feet; thence along the arc of a 21.574 degree curve to the left 53.7 feet; thence South 3°35’ West 277.8 feet; thence North 89°48’ East 529.9 feet; thence South 21°22’ West 122.0 feet; thence South 9°26’ West 176....
