RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS APPRECIATION TO JON COLEMAN FOR HIS DEDICATED DEVOTION TO THE COMMUNITY DURING HIS TERMS ON THE METROPOLITAN AREA PLANNING COMMISSION

WHEREAS, Jon Coleman was appointed to the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission on March 20, 1989 and served three consecutive, three-year terms, until his passing on May 3, 1999; AND
WHEREAS, the Jonesboro City Council recognizes the dedicated, professional and charitable service rendered by Mr. Coleman while serving on the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission; and further recognizes the growth and progress of our community can in large measure be attributed to his efforts and untiring devotion to the City of Jonesboro and its citizens; AND
WHEREAS, in memory of, and out of respect for Jon Coleman, the Jonesboro City Council wishes to express its appreciation and admiration to the Coleman Family by resolving the following upon the permanent records of the city:
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that a copy of this resolution be entered upon the Official City Records as a permanent and lasting tribute to Jon Coleman for his dedicated devotion to the community; and that a copy of this resolution be tendered to the Coleman Family as an expression of the City Council’s sincere appreciation for the services rendered by him.
