RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SELL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 118 BURKE AVENUE, JONESBORO, AR TO CITY YOUTH MINISTRIES;

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to issue all documents necessary, as prepared by the City Attorney and will include a Right of First Refusal in favor of the City of Jonesboro if the property is ever offered for sale; to effectuate the selling to City Youth Ministries property acreage owned by the City of Jonesboro being described as follows, to wit:
Begin at the Southeast Corner of Block 13 of Flint’s Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; thence North on the West line of Union Street 548 feet to the existing North line of Burke Avenue; thence West along aforesaid North line of Burke Avenue 61.2 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence continue West 138.8 feet; thence North 109.5feet; thence Northeasterly along an 8 degree 38 minute curve to the right 156.3 feet; thence East 181.2 feet to the West line of Union Street; thence South along the West line of Union Street 198.3 feet; thence West 61.2 feet; thence South 60.4 feet to the point of beginning proper. The above described tract being a part of Lots 4, 5, and 6 of Block 13 Flint’s addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to accept the following purchase price of $36,800 due and payable upon closing. The closing date for this transaction shall be January 15, 2003. The City of Jonesboro shall furnish Title Insurance and a Warranty Deed upon closing.
WHEREAS, this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
