AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 2 OF ORD-10:031 NAMING THE CHAIR OF THE PUBLIC WORKS STREETS & SIDEWALKS SUBCOMMITTEE OF THE CITY COUNCIL AS A VOTING MEMBER OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT BOARD

Body

WHEREAS, the creation of the Transportation Management Board was passed and adopted on May 18, 2010 (ORD-10:031);

 

WHEREAS, the Chair of the Public Works Transportation Subcommittee of the City Council was named a voting member of the Transportation Management Board;

 

WHEREAS, the correct position is the Chair of the Public Works Streets & Sidewalks Subcommittee of the City Council;

 

WHEREAS, to prevent future confusion the title for the voting member of the Transportation Management Board representing the Public Works Committee will be the Chair of the Public Works Streets & Sidewalks Subcommittee replacing the Chair of the Public Works Transportation Subcommittee.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

 

Section 1. That Section 2 of ORD-10:31 passed and adopted by the City Council on May 18, 2010 be amended as follows:

 

Section 2. The Chair of the Public Works Transportation Subcommittee of the City Council is deleted and replaced with the Chair of the Public Works Streets & Sidewalks Subcommittee of the City Council.

 

Section 2. That the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable. In the event any portion or portions may be declared unconstitutional does not render the remaining provisions invalid. Further, all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict.
