RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON A PORTION OF ROSE AVENUE AS REQUESTED BY MARK & TAMMY REES AND HAROLD REES III

WHEREAS, Mark W. Rees and Tammy S. Rees, his wife, and Harold R. Rees III, have filed a petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas requesting that the East 97.6 feet of the street platted as Rose Avenue running between Blocks I and F in Belmont Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, Arkansas law requires notice of such public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice advising the public of such request to vacate and abandon the above mentioned portion of Rose Avenue and that this matter will be heard before the City Council on July 15, 1996 at 6:10 o'clock p.m. in Municipal Court, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
