RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH BERNIE AULD OF BA ENGINEERING TO PROVIDE A HYDROLOGIC COMPARISON BETWEEN THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS MODEL STUDY AND CARTER-BURGESS MODEL STUDY

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to enter into a contract with Mr. Bernie Auld of  BA Engineering for the purpose of providing a hydrologic comparison between the Corps of Engineers model study and Carter-Burgess model study for each drainage area within each creek basin; And

WHEREAS, the Flood Plain Administrator recommends all eight drainage basins be reviewed by BA Engineering in order to correlate the hydraulic length, slope and ultimate time peak to determine any discrepancies, and to clarify any inconsistencies in methodology; And

WHEREAS, funding for the Hydrological Comparison shall come from the account Drainage Study Part II, Account Number 07-100-02-50-00 as specified in the attached contract, entitled Exhibit A.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Mayor Doug Formon and City Clerk Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the Jonesboro City Council in accordance with A.C.A. 14-54-302 to execute all necessary documentation.
