RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE ABANDONMENT OF AN ALLEY RUNNING NORTH AND SOUTH IN HURLEY AND MOORE'S ADDITION

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
 
That the 5th day of November, 1973, is hereby fixed as the date for the hearing upon the petition of J.L. Booten and the Jonesboro Urban Renewal & Housing Authority of Jonesboro, Arkansas, praying for the abandonment and vacating of the following described alley in the City of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas:
 
An alley running north and south, bounded on the East side by Lot 8, Block 1, Hurley and Moore's Addition, and bounded on the West by Lot 14, Block 2, Hurley and Moore's Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas;
 
platted and filed for record in Deed Record Book 15 at Page 527 of the records of the Jonesboro District of Craighead County, Arkansas.
 
The City Clerk hereby is directed to give notice of the time and place of a hearing on said petition by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Craighead County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas. The notice shall state the name of the property owners who signed the petition, the description of the alley to be vacated and shall identify same by the abutting lot and block numbers, and the notice shall advise all persons that the 5th of November, 1973, the Council will hear and determine whether the above described alley shall be vacated.
 
ADOPTED on this the 15th day of October, 1973.
