A RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SUZANNE HACKNEY TO AID IN THE TRANSITION TO A NEW HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR

WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro desires to enter into a contract with Suzanne Hackney, an independent contractor, for the purpose of aiding in the transition to a new Human Resources Director; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Jonesboro that the City Council authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute this contract:

Section 1:  This contract for the purpose of obtaining the services of Suzanne Hackney to assist in the transition to a new Human Resources Director, on an interim basis, is in the best interest of the City of Jonesboro.

Section 2:  There are sufficient funds in the Human Resources budget therefore no additional funds will be appropriated.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute said contract.
