RESOLUTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN ALLEY LOCATED RUNNING WEST FROM LOT 4 OF BLOCK B OF EARL KIECH 2ND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
That the 1st day of November, 1965, is hereby fixed as the day for the hearing upon the petition of Columbus M. Baker, Audrey B. Baker and Geneva Barkley praying for the abandonment and vacating of the following described alley in the City of Jonesboro, Nettleton Station, Ark.:
An alley running west from Thorn Street of Nettleton Station, Jonesboro, Arkansas, a distance of 185 feet; bounded on north by the south line of Lot 4 and on the south by the north line of Lots 5, 6 and 7, all in Block B; said alley being 15 feet wide north and south and 185 east and west. The west boundary being on the same line with the west boundary of said Lot 4 of Block B of Earl Kiech 2nd Addition to the City of Jonesboro (formerly the town of Nettleton) Arkansas.
Platted and filed for record in the Recorder's office at Jonesboro, Arkansas on the 29th day of August, 1946, in Record Book 48, page 218.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of the time and hearing of said meeting by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Craighead County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas. The notice shall state the name of the property owners who signed the petition, the name of the alley, or parts thereof, to be vacated, and shall identify same by the abutting lot and block numbers, and the notice shall advise all person that on the 1st day of November, 1965, the Council will hear and determine whether the above described alley shall be vacated.
