RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS APPRECIATION TO BERNARD SIMPSON FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO AND ITS CITIZENS FOR TWENTY YEARS OF SERVICE AS A FIREFIGHTER

WHEREAS, Mr. Bernard Simpson has served the City of Jonesboro for twenty years as a firefighter working his way up through the ranks as a hoseman, driver and lieutenant.
WHEREAS, Mr. Simpson has always been a loyal member of the department, city officials and the City of Jonesboro, he also has been thoughtful of the men who worked under him and trained them carefully and diplomatically.
WHEREAS, Mr. Simpson was never reprimanded during his twenty years of service to the City and has lent himself 100% to his position and career with the Jonesboro Fire Department.
WHEREAS, The City Council desires to make this resolution a part of the permanent record, and
WHEREAS, The City Council recognizes the excellent and untiring service Bernard Simpson has rendered the City of Jonesboro and its citizens during his term of service to the Jonesboro Fire Department.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, Bernard Simpson has performed a great service for out city and its people and the City Council and the citizens of Jonesboro greatly appreciate his service.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 16th day of March, 1987.
