A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS APPROVING CONTRACT FOR CRAIGHEAD FOREST ATV TRAIL GRANT, STATE JOB # 100571 WITH THE ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro owns and maintains Craighead Forest located at 4910 South Culberhouse, Jonesboro, AR.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas was approved for a matching grant for the construction an ATV Trail at Craighead Forest Park, and desires to enter into a contract.
WHEREAS, the grant and matching project amount has been approved in the City's 2003 budget and carried over to it's 2004 capital improvements budget funds, City Budget, GL 713, of which the previously approved amount was $68,000 or eighty percent of the funds will be received from the Arkansas State Highway Commission and $17,000 or twenty percent of the funds will be paid by the City for a total grant amount of $85,000.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the contract for State Job No. 100571 with the Arkansas State Highway Commission for the Craighead Forest ATV Trail project.
SECTION 2: The Mayor, Hubert Brodell and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
