A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SIX MEMBER CITY-COUNTY COMMITTEE TO STUDY AREAS OF MUTUAL CONCERN TO BOTH CITIES AND CRAIGHEAD COUNTY

WHEREAS, the City Council supports the idea of the establishment of a City - County Committee; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to establish such a committee with the Quorum Court of Craighead County; and,
WHEREAS, the composition of the committee shall consist of three members from the Quorum Court and three members from the City council; and,
WHEREAS, the committee will have authority to study areas of mutual concern to both Craighead County, and the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and other cities located within Craighead County; and
WHEREAS, the committee shall report its findings and recommendations to the respective legislative bodies;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City Council supports the creation of a joint City-County Committee to study areas of mutual concern with the composition and authority as set forth above.
