RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE CITIZENS ORGANIZATION DESIGNED TO AID AND ASSIST IN GENERAL DEVELOPMENT, INCLUDING THE TOWNS OF LAKE CITY, BLACK OAK, CARAWAY AND MONETTE

WHEREAS, the Citizens of the Towns of Lake City, Black Oak, Caraway and Monette are attempting to organize interested Citizens in the general development and progress of the four towns and surrounding communities; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the organization will be to serve as an agency for industrial development, civic and community progress and political activities; and
WHEREAS, the objects and ideas of this group is of such significance and importance to the four eastern district towns and their surrounding communities, and is designed to aide and assist these communities in their efforts to attract more business, better roads and other projects which might come to them is they join their forces in one cause; the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby endorses this organization and the objectives which it attempts to obtain;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the citizen’s organization designed to aide and assist in the general development and progress of the eastern district towns of Lake City, Black Oak, Caraway and Monette, is hereby endorsed, and the objects of said organization are hereby wholeheartedly approved.
